Greetings, Wildcat Nation!
November is here, and it's hard to believe how quickly this school year is moving! As we enter this season of gratitude, I want to take a moment to reflect on the many great things happening across Splendora ISD and recognize the people who make it all possible.
As our fall season comes to a close, I want to recognize the dedication and hard work of our students, coaches, sponsors, and staff. From our athletes competing under the lights to our band, cheerleaders, dance team, and countless other student organizations representing Splendora with pride, we have so much to celebrate. These experiences are about more than wins, losses, or performances. They are about building character, developing relationships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
As we transition into our winter activities, we still have so much to look forward to. Our fine arts programs are preparing for upcoming performances, winter athletics are getting underway, and great things continue to happen in classrooms across the district. We are now well into our second year of many of the initiatives and systems we have put in place, and I am encouraged by the progress we continue to see. While there is always room to grow and improve, I believe the foundation we are building is making a difference for our students and staff. We must keep listening, learning, making adjustments when needed, and staying focused on the work that matters most.
November is also a time to reflect on just how much we have to be thankful for. I am thankful for our students who remind us every day why we do this work. I am thankful for our teachers and staff who pour so much of themselves into making a difference. I am thankful for our families who trust us with their children, and for a community that continues to support our schools and believe in what we are building together.
Personally, I continue to be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this district and work alongside so many exceptional people. One of the things I appreciate most about Splendora is that, even as we grow and change, we continue to hold on to the relationships, traditions, and small-town values that make this community special.
As we head toward Thanksgiving, I hope each of you finds time to slow down, enjoy your family and friends, and reflect on the many blessings in your life. You deserve that time, and I hope you know how much we appreciate your hard work and dedication.
Thank you for all you do to make Splendora ISD such a special place. We have much to be proud of, much to be thankful for, and so much to look forward to.
In your service,
Dr. Dustin Bromley

As we welcome November, we are reminded of the power of gratitude, kindness, and connection. Thanksgiving is more than a holiday—it is an opportunity to pause, appreciate the people around us, and recognize the many things, big and small, that bring meaning to our lives.
This month, our Splendora ISD Counseling Department encourages our students and families to make gratitude a daily practice. Take a moment to thank someone who has made a difference in your life, look for opportunities to show kindness, and remember that even the smallest act of encouragement can make someone’s day a little brighter.
For our students, practicing gratitude can also help strengthen relationships, build resilience, and create a greater sense of belonging. Ask your child: What is one thing you are thankful for today? Who is someone you are grateful to have in your life? How can you show someone appreciation this week?
As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we are especially thankful for the students, families, staff, and community members who make Splendora ISD such a special place. Thank you for the compassion, encouragement, and care you pour into our students each day.
May this season remind us to slow down, appreciate one another, and lead with grateful hearts.
Serving with Purpose. Leading with Heart.

Citywide Impact is bringing the community together this Christmas with "A CityWide Christmas," a free celebration on Friday, December 25, from 2–7 pm at the Bull Sallas Park Show Barn, 21675 McCleskey Road in New Caney.
The event is for anyone who needs a Christmas meal, companionship, or a welcoming place to celebrate the holiday. Individuals, couples, and families are all invited to attend. Guests can enjoy Christmas dinner, Santa, family photos, kids' activities, games, crafts, hot cocoa, treats, Christmas movies, care packages, and gifts for children ages 0–18.
Registration opens September 10 and closes December 10. Walk-ins are welcome, but registration is encouraged to help organizers prepare enough food and supplies. Children should be preregistered to guarantee a Christmas gift; a limited number of gifts will be available for walk-ins while supplies last.
Community members can also help make the celebration possible by donating or volunteering. Visit https://www.citywideimpact.org/event-details/christmas to learn how you can support A CityWide Christmas. The goal is simple: to make sure everyone has a place to experience community, connection, and the joy of Christmas.
