Purchasing and Warehouse
Purchasing and Warehouse
How to Become a Vendor
To ensure your business is included on our district vendor list, please complete the SISD Vendor Application Packet. On the form, indicate all products and services your company provides. The Purchasing Department reviews these submissions and files them by product category. The district advertises upcoming bids, requests for proposals (RFPs), and quotes on the Purchasing Department website and in The Courier newspaper.
Competitive Bid Law
The state competitive bid law governs Splendora ISD and all other school districts in the State of Texas. Therefore, most purchasing is done through cooperative purchasing and competitive sealed proposals. The competitive bidding process aims to help public schools obtain the best products at the lowest practical prices, in the best interest of taxpayers, by stimulating competition. Splendora ISD is committed to fair and equal competition among all vendors. In addition, the State Competitive Bid law does not allow favoritism to be shown to any vendor.
Bid Opportunities
Vendors interested in doing business with Splendora ISD can register and view bid opportunities through our online system.
Would you like to be notified of bid events that match your commodities for goods and services? Registering will be a notification-only feature; it will not confirm you as an approved or awarded vendor.
Cooperatives
The Purchasing and Warehouse Department utilizes several purchasing cooperatives to secure the best value for our campuses and administrative offices. These pre-approved purchasing networks allow our district to acquire high-quality goods and services efficiently while maintaining strict compliance with state procurement laws.
