At Splendora ISD, creating safe and supportive schools takes all of us: students, staff, families, and our community. During August 31–September 4, our campuses will participate in activities designed to strengthen safety awareness, preparedness, communication, and connectedness across our district.
Throughout the week, students will engage in age-appropriate conversations and activities that help them understand what it means to be Safe. Seen. Supported. From knowing what to do during an emergency and identifying trusted adults to understanding when to speak up and recognizing how individual choices contribute to a safer school environment, each activity reinforces one important message:
Safety is not just something we practice; it's a commitment we make to one another.
We encourage our parents and community partners to continue these conversations at home and to help us reinforce a culture in which everyone understands their role in keeping our schools safe.

Splendora ISD's total property tax rate is decreasing by $0.0477 for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, dropping from $1.2547 to $1.2070 per $100 of taxable value. The reduction reflects the District's continued commitment to fiscal responsibility while supporting the needs of our students, staff, and growing community. |

The BRIDGE Mentoring Program connects caring community members with Splendora ISD students through meaningful, structured mentoring relationships that encourage academic success, social-emotional growth, leadership, and college and career readiness. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give a child is simply your time, your encouragement, and someone who believes in them.

From August 12, 2026, through October 9, 2026, the Gifted & Talented Department is accepting referrals to screen for students who may exhibit gifted characteristics and benefit from current programming options in grades 1 and 3-12. Kindergarten and Grade 2nd are universally screened per state and local policy.
This program is designed for students who exhibit any singular or combination of the following abilities or potential to develop capabilities at an extraordinary cognitive level: intellectual, leadership, creativity, artistic, and/or academic achievement.
Services are provided only if the Gifted and Talented Identification Profile reveals an educational need upon assessment and if the need is determined to not be normally served within the general education classroom and could be served by the Gifted and Talented program initiatives.

What Could Your Big Idea Become?
Last year, an educator grant helped Greenleaf Elementary create an arcade-style reward experience where students can celebrate their achievements in a fun and memorable way.
Now we’re looking for the next great idea! Splendora ISD educators may apply for up to $3,000 individually or $6,000 as a team for innovative programs, resources, and learning experiences.
Applications are due September 28 at 5:00 p.m. Educators who have an idea or need help getting started are encouraged to reach out to the Education Foundation at educationfoundation@splendoraisd.org.
