Two All-State Band Members

Eleven Splendora High School band students competed in the final round of auditions at the TMEA Area Auditions this past Saturday. Among them, SHS senior trumpet player Brayden Hansen and sophomore percussionist Samuel Castillo earned top placements in their respective areas, securing spots in the prestigious TMEA All-State Band to be held in San Antonio.
Additionally, SHS sophomore oboist Victoria Martinez earned the honor of First Alternate to State, an outstanding accomplishment in its own right.
Selection to the TMEA All-State Band represents the highest honor for Texas high school musicians. Only 2% of the more than 70,000 students who begin the All-State audition process earn a chair in this elite ensemble.
We are incredibly proud of Brayden, Samuel, Victoria, and all 11 SHS Band members who auditioned and represented Splendora ISD with excellence and pride.
