Splendora ISD is cooking up something special! We’re thrilled to announce a flavorful collaboration between our Child Nutrition Department and the talented Culinary Arts students at Splendora High School. As part of a recent USDA recipe development contest, student teams put their skills to the test—and the results were delicious!

Two teams, The Cooking Cats and The Claw-some Cooks, impressed judges with their creativity and culinary know-how. The Cooking Cats wowed with their hearty Wildcat Bowl, while The Claw-some Cooks served up a mouthwatering Claw-some Italian Meatball Sub.

Both winning dishes will be officially featured on our school lunch menus starting May 8 and proudly branded as original creations of the Splendora High School Culinary program. This partnership highlights real-world learning opportunities while bringing student innovation to the cafeteria.

Get ready to taste the talent—these student-made meals will surely be a hit!
