30 Student Scholars Receive 54 National Recognition Awards

National Award winners

Splendora ISD proudly announces that 30 outstanding students have been honored with prestigious National Recognition Awards for their exceptional academic achievements. This national acknowledgment highlights their dedication to academic excellence and their standing among the top-performing students in the country.

Eligibility for the National Recognition Programs is determined based on the following criteria: achieving top 10% scores on the Fall 2023 PSAT/NMSQT within their state’s award program. Or by earning a score of 3 or higher on two or more Advanced Placement exams in the 9th and/or 10th grade. These students also maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.3.

These students include: Braxton Albright, Caesar Barbosa, Madison Bishop, Caleb Cash, Brenner Chavis, Kayden Clark, Daylon Collins, Adam Dietrich, Jaedon Dugas, SaMia Dunham, Trinity Falls, Fernando Gonzales, Oscar Guzman, Hailey Haney, Brayden Hansen, Teagan Herrera, Michelle Jasso, Iain Lenox, Sarah Lopez, Madalyn Maguire, Corbin Norris, Corey Perez, Holden Price, Caleb Russell, James Schroeder, Jovanni Triana, Julian Vargas, Brianna Vargas, Brantless Wenzel, Peyton Whaley. 

These 30 students demonstrated remarkable academic excellence and an unwavering commitment to success. Their achievements underscore Splendora ISD’s commitment to cultivating exceptional people.

“We are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to learning,” said Dr. Kristy Dietrich. “This recognition should be shared because our students have worked hard and deserve the recognition. In fact, 28 of the 30 students awarded are part of the SISD Rising Scholar program and have put in extra practice to be competitive and excel on a national program level."

The National Recognition Awards serve as a testament to the exceptional caliber of students at Splendora High School and celebrate the academic talent that will undoubtedly significantly impact their future endeavors.
