Rhodes named Executive Director of HR

Dr. William H. Rhodes is a seasoned educator and human resources leader with over two decades of experience in Texas public education. He is set to begin a new role as Executive Director of Human Resources at Splendora Independent School District, bringing a wealth of expertise in personnel management, leadership development, and strategic planning.
Dr. Rhodes most recently served as Director of Human Resources at La Porte ISD, where he played a pivotal role in employee recruitment, retention, and professional development. Prior to that, he held multiple leadership positions in Katy ISD, including Principal, Human Resources Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. His career began in the classroom, where he taught science and elementary grades in districts across Georgia, California, Texas, and even Ontario, Canada.
In addition to his district leadership roles, Dr. Rhodes has contributed to the preparation of future school leaders as a Principal Certification Field Supervisor at Lamar University since 2018. He holds a Doctor of Education (Ed. D.) and a Master of Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake, as well as a Bachelor of Science from Berry College.
Dr. Rhodes is recognized for his collaborative leadership style and dedication to creating inclusive, high-performing educational environments. His appointment at Splendora ISD aligns with the district’s focus on staff well-being, growth, and community engagement. As Executive Director of Human Resources, he will oversee personnel operations and support the district’s mission of cultivating exceptional people.
