Greenleaf Child Nutrition Staff wins Read All Day Serving Line Decorating Contest

GLE Child Nutrition Staff

In a colorful celebration of literacy and creativity, the Splendora ISD Child Nutrition Department recently hosted its eagerly awaited annual Read All Day Dr. Seuss Serving Line Decorating Contest. Each year, the talented Child Nutrition staff across every campus selects a beloved Dr. Seuss book as their theme and transforms their serving lines into whimsical wonders, all in the spirit of promoting the district's Read All Day Event. This cherished tradition is a testament to the dedication of the Child Nutrition team but also a vibrant display of their commitment to fostering a love for reading among students and staff alike. From "Horton Hears a Who" to "The Cat in the Hat," each theme brings its own magic and charm to the cafeteria, setting the stage for a day filled with literary delight.

This year saw unprecedented enthusiasm, with nearly every kitchen participating in the contest. From brainstorming creative ideas to meticulously bringing them to life, teams poured their hearts and souls into their decorations, turning serving lines into immersive worlds straight out of Dr. Seuss's imagination.

The competition was fierce, with every entry showcasing ingenuity and dedication. However, after much deliberation, we are thrilled to announce that the distinguished honor of this year's Read All Day Serving Line Decorating Contest goes to the phenomenal team at Greenleaf Elementary!

Congratulations once again to the incredible team at Greenleaf Elementary, and here's to many more years of creativity and, above all, a passion for reading in Splendora ISD!
