Craus named Head Football Coach/Campus Coordinator

Brandon Craus

We are excited to announce the newest addition to our Splendora ISD family, Coach Brandon Craus, as our Head Football Coach and Campus Coordinator. We are thrilled to have Coach Craus join us, bringing with him a wealth of experience, dedication, and a proven track record of success in Texas football.

In the words of Superintendent Dr. Jeff Burke, "We are incredibly excited to welcome Coach Craus to the Splendora Wildcat family. Over the course of two interviews and many conversations, we were blown away by Coach Craus' commitment, passion, energy, enthusiasm, and football knowledge. Our committee went through a rigorous process to find the ideal candidate to lead our football program, and we believe we have found that individual in Brandon Craus."

Chief Administration Officer Dr. Shane Conklin echoes this sentiment, stating, "Coach Craus has proven his coaching prowess by transforming the football programs he's led into playoff contenders. His success as a football coach and athletic director reflects his commitment to excellence, making him the right choice for our head football coach and campus coordinator position."

Coach Craus' impact extends beyond the field, as Athletic Director Deana Eubanks notes, "Coach Craus brings the energy! It’s evident he is passionate about positively impacting the lives of young people through athletics."

With an impressive coaching background spanning 24 years in Texas public schools, Coach Craus has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead and inspire. From Dayton to Groveton, Woodville to Bloomington, his teams have achieved remarkable success, breaking records and setting new standards for excellence.

Coach Craus is not only a leader in football, but also a family man. He is married to Jessica Autrey Craus and through an incredible extended family, Coach Craus has ten children: Katelyn (28), Skylar (21), Luke (21), Alik (17), Daniel (17), Raylen (16), Josslyn (15), Kellen (13), Caris (10), and Baylor (8).

“Brandon Craus brings positive energy and relentless enthusiasm for excellence. He will be a great addition to our Wildcat Family,” said Splendora High School Principal Allen Painter. Student Services Director Dianna Archer agreed and added, “Coach Craus brings energy, enthusiasm, and a love and level of knowledge for the game of football.  He will build a positive culture that will impact not only the football program, but the entire district.`

Together, let us support Coach Craus and our Splendora Wildcats as they strive for greatness this upcoming season and beyond.
