Samuel Allen Law

Did you know there are laws to help officers and medics know when someone in a vehicle has a communication disorder such as Autism, Aspergers, mild intellectual disabilities, Down’s Syndrome, Parkinsons, language disorders, brain injury, or deafness? The Samuel Allen Law was passed in 2019 and allows an individual or parent to turn in the linked form and have their license plate coded to show someone with a communication disorder may be in the vehicle. This helps officers and medics to know who they may encounter before approaching a vehicle.
