Fourteen cosmetology students are advancing to State! On February 16, Cosmetology teacher Brittany Ellis took students to compete at the District 7 SkillsUSA competition. Her students placed first and second in five categories, qualifying them for the State competition at the end of this month. Here are the state qualifiers: 

• Cherish Ryzewski - Action Skills

• Zeydy Maldenado and Paula Castillo - Barbering

• Mackenzie Philen, Sara King, and Kyleigh Sindelar - Emblem Ceremony

• Jacquelyn Vargas - Esthetics

• Paula Castillo, Veronica Lopez, Joyce Lara, Angie Garcia, Brigeth Rodriguez, Emily Jimenez, and Alma Martinez - Quiz Bowl
