Congratulations, Heather Conklin, for being named the District Librarian.

Heather Conklin comes from Northwest ISD in North Fort Worth, where she served five years as the Library Media Specialist at Lakeview Elementary. During this time, she was on the Instructional Leadership Team, served as the district's spelling bee coordinator, and managed the campus robotics club and book competition. Before this, she was a teacher in 2nd, 3rd, and pre-kindergarten. 

Heather graduated from Texas A&M University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. She later attended Texas Woman's University to study library and information science, and received her Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS) in 2018. 

Heather is married to Shane, who was recently named Splendora ISD's Chief Administration Officer. They are proud parents of four boys, Jacob, Coleson, Cody, and Nolan. Heather enjoys spending time with her family and attending their numerous athletic activities. When she gets a moment to herself, she, of course, chooses to read.
