Student Competencies in Social and Emotional Learning Survey

Posted January 12, 2021

Splendora ISD is developing a framework to support our student’s Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and providing continued support for our student’s well-being.  To do that, we would like to use data collected from our students to target specific skills.  We are surveying all students in grades 3-12 to identify Student Competencies in Social and Emotional Learning. This is the first step in identifying areas of focus of developing our SEL support plan.

Students in grades 3-5 will take one version of the survey, and students in grades 6-12 will take another version.  The surveys are very similar, but with age appropriate vocabulary and wording.

Students will take the online survey between now and the end of January. Each campus will survey their students as it fits into their schedules. If you have questions or would like to review the student survey, contact District Lead Counselor, Loydette Youngblood at
