Carrie Reed graduated from Splendora High School in 1995 and earned her degree in education from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. She began her career as a substitute teacher at Splendora Elementary and was later hired as a fourth-grade teacher at Splendora Intermediate School.

She taught second and fourth grade for six years and then served as Math Coach at Peach Creek Elementary. After transitioning to Porter Elementary in New Caney ISD, she completed her master’s degree in Educational Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Reed served as Assistant Principal at Oakley Elementary and Principal at Valley Ranch Elementary. She later became the Instructional Specialist at Piney Woods Elementary and the Principal of Timber Lakes Elementary. She was named Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in 2022, Chief Learning Officer in 2024, and Deputy Superintendent of Academics in 2025.
