Dr. Shane Conklin is the Chief Administration Officer for Splendora Independent School District and oversees Human Resources, Student Services, Athletics, Special Services, Fine Arts, and Campus Principals.

A native of Iowa, Dr. Conklin brings 21 years of administrative experience serving as Principal, Human Resources Director, Student Services Director, and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. During that time, he worked in fast-growth districts, opening two elementary schools and one middle school as principal. Additionally, Dr. Conklin has ten years of coaching experience and was named the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Wrestling Coach of the Year in 2002. He is passionate about the role staff plays in providing an exceptional learning experience for students and has presented across the state on school culture, best instructional practices, and retention strategies. 

Dr. Conklin earned his Doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. He holds a master's degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa.  

He and his wife, Heather, have four boys: Jacob, Coleson, Cody, and Nolan.
