Over the past 10 years, Splendora ISD has had several bond issues to address our facilities needs. In 2007, voters passed a $26 million bond which included the land and construction of Piney Woods Elementary School, the Career and Technical Education (CTE) building, district wide technology upgrades, and district wide improvements.
In February 2015, the Board of Trustees approved the initiation of the long range facility planning committee. The work for the committee was organized in 4 major phases: Data, Planning, Calling the Election, and Bond Election. Details of the plan are included in the Long Range Facilities Plan. On February 15, 2016, the Splendora ISD Board of Trustees unanimously called for a Bond Election to be held on May 7, 2016.
