Spring Semester Final Exemption Procedures 2020-2021
Students are allowed to exempt final exams for a certain number of classes each semester.
Number of Classes Eligible to Exempt
Requirements for Eligibility:
The following requirements will be checked by the office before a form will be given to the student:
No outstanding ID fines
Has not turned in a school-issued Chromebook (does not apply to Early College students)
No more than 5 tardies during the 4th 9-weeks (March 23rd - May 14th)
No discipline consequences for the semester (OCI, Suspension, or DAEP)
Students will not be able to exempt dual credit exams
The teacher’s responsibility is to have their grades current for their students so that they can inform the student of their grades. Then fill out his or her course section of the form.
The semester Average in each course has to be passing (at least a 70)
Semester Average in the course that is to be exempted with at least an 80
***Students must have all of their teachers’ signatures before they can turn in their completed form.
All completed forms are DUE by the end of the day Friday, May 14th to Ms. Guerrero in the Counseling office.
