• Career and Technical Education

  • Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a planned program of courses that focus on career awareness and exploration using applied hands-on learning techniques. To be career and college ready, CTE courses integrate 21st-century skills, technical skills, basic life skills, and the core academics of math, science, reading, and writing. These are essential to society in addressing the challenges posed not only by our changing economy but also by an ever-changing world. CTE courses and programs provide the motivation to achieve high academic and industry standards as well as the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully transition towards building a life beyond high school.
