Bully Prevention: Create A Culture of Kindness
Campuses strive to create a culture of kindness that drives campus bullying and violence prevention activities for the year. Each campus has a Bullying Prevention Committee. The committee is:
- Designed to promote a positive school climate by reviewing existing measures and suggesting ways to improve school climate.
- Monitor the implementation of bullying/intervention strategies and health and wellness initiatives.
- Assist with the required annual survey for bullying and cyberbullying.
Counselors focus on promoting kindness and compassion as a method to prevent bullying, harassment, and violence in the following ways:
- Guidance Lessons to include
- Bullying Awareness and Prevention, twice a year (minimum)
- Elementary Bullying Education Presentation
- Junior High / High School Bullying Education Presentation
- Suicide Prevention and Intervention
- Character Education
- Positive character trait celebrations and awards for students
- October Bullying Prevention Month Activities
- Parent Newsletters
- Access to Let’s Talk for Students/Parents
- Bullying Awareness and Prevention, twice a year (minimum)
Counseling support is provided to students who have been the victim of bullying, harassment, or violence and have bullied other students by providing:
- strategies for minimizing exposure to further incidents/coping skills
- check-in/check-out
- social/emotional support

Ways to Report Bullying
Report Bullying on the District Tip Line by:
- clicking the link HERE to visit the Tip Line webpage and complete the form
- calling or texting 281-688-9099
- scanning the QR code on posters at Splendora Junior High or Splendora High School
- use the district's app and click on the Tip Line icon. (For more information about the app, click the link HERE.)
The Tip Line can be anonymous, but administrators will not be able to contact you if they need further information. If you want to keep your identity hidden from the district, enter your email address and select "Hide your contact information from the district." This will allow administrators to contact you through the Tip Line, but they will not know your identity.
