Emergency School Closing Procedures
Splendora ISD acknowledges the challenges of weather emergencies, such as flooding, ice, and other severe weather. These conditions can disrupt school operations, ranging from closures and delayed start to early dismissals.
While our primary goal is to sustain in-school education, our utmost concern is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. This commitment extends to their well-being within the school environment and during their commute to and from school.
The district uses the following methods to communicate closings and delays:
- SISD website alerts
- Twitter @SplendoraISD
- Facebook @SplendoraISD
- Splendora ISD app
- Phone and email mass notification system (The call will come from 281-689-3128. Please add this number to your contacts to avoid marking it as spam.)
- Local media
