The Gifted & Talented program provides opportunities to nurture the whole student by fostering leadership and cooperation skills, developing independence, and encouraging the exploration of content and ideas that are relevant to the student. 

Splendora ISD offers students from kindergarten to 12th grade an opportunity to participate in a Robotics team. Each team can have 4-6 members. Robotics is a competitive sport with the potential to travel to area events. Students need to be at each team's practice and all competitions, which are on Saturday. Each team member will have a designated role as either a programmer or builder; all team members are also researchers, and there will be a designated Team Captain. 

FIRST Discover- Kinder and 1st grade
FIRST Explore- 2nd and 3rd grade
FIRST Challenge- 4th, 5th, and 6th grade
VEX Robotics Competition- 7th- 12th grade
