"Education comes from within; you get it by struggle, effort, and thought." -Napoleon Hill Welcome to Eighth Grade English! From the time I was a little girl, I wanted to TEACH!!! I am proud to say this is my ninth year to teach in Splendora ISD. I graduated high school from New Caney in 1996 and went to college at Sam Houston State University. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English. I truly enjoy teaching English and reading at the junior high level. If you ever have any questions or concerns, you may reach me at 281-689-6343 or by email (mbuford@splendoraisd.org). My conference period is from 7:20-8:07 every day. I have very high expectations of every child and try to make learning as fun as possible. Thank you so much for sharing your children with me. Please encourage your child to read at home everyday. This can be done in small sections of at least 20 minutes a day. This will help your child become a better reader. Our school library recently purchased more new books to help interest our students. We visit the library once or twice a month for book talks and check outs. The students love to hear Mrs. Kroeger read to them and share information about books. 8th grade STAAR reading test is March 28, 2012
