Welcome My name is Aliceann Andrus. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and have lived there for most of my life. I have also lived in New York and Florida. I graduated from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 1992 with a focus on classical French horn playing. I attended the Juilliard School of Music before transferring to the University of Houston to study psychology until I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1997. I come from a family of musicians, artists, and teachers. When I had my daughter in 2003, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and become a Special Education teacher. I took master’s classes in Special Ed. and began working as a teacher in Florida. I moved back to Texas in 2006 and began working here in Splendora. My first two years in Splendora ISD were spent at the Intermediate campus, and the next three have been here at the Junior High. I work with students by providing in-class support as well as one-on-one help. My conference is during 7th period starting at 1:11 PM. I am always happy to correspond with parents, so please feel free to email me at aandrus@splendoraisd.org or call the school at 281-689-6243. This year my extention is 4424. I look forward to working with you and your child. Eleanor Roosevelt - “One of the best ways of enslaving a people is to keep them from education... The second way of enslaving a people is to suppress the sources of information, not only by burning books but by controlling all the other ways in which ideas are transmitted.” Below are some good links. I have posted these and many more on my Links Page. Just click on My Links for more.
