 Message from the Superintendent, Dr. Thomas Price - 

SISD Scores Soar

TAKS scores continue to arrive and the preliminary returns show a dramatic increase in many areas.  The hard work of our staff and students is evident, and their strong showing should be commended.

 Some of our highlights:

      Greenleaf Elementary results show remarkable increase.  Fourth grade reading increased performance with a 20 point gain while fourth grade writing scores jumped 19 points.  Hispanic writing scores jumped dramatically, experiencing an overall jump (grades 3 and 4 combined) of 19 points while fourth grade economically disadvantaged reading scores improved by an amazing 41 point gain.  In one year, Greenleaf Elementary has moved away from being a TEA unacceptable campus to one that is very close to being “Recognized.”  Outstanding results and great job, Greenleaf!
