Mrs. Butts graduated from Splendora in 1981 and remains a resident today.  She and her family love the community and support the children in all areas.  Mrs. Butts and her husband, Cecil, were regular faces at all the sporting events while their children were in school and still support all of our Wildcats.  Mrs. Butts has been the Community Education Department Assistant, Business Manager's Secretary, and is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services' Secretary. In this position, Mrs. Butts focuses on human resources and makes sure that the district employees' personnel needs are met. 

Stacey Swanson Accountant sswanson@splendoraisd.org

Mrs. Swanson is a life-long resident of Splendora. After graduating from Splendora High School in 1996, she began her college education at Kingwood Community College. Shortly after, she transferred to Sam Houston State University and in August 2001, she graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Minor in Finance. For six years, Mrs. Swanson worked as an accountant at a local bank and in January 2008, she joined Splendora ISD as the school district accountant. Mrs. Swanson is married to Wesley Swanson, also of Splendora, and together they have a son named Brady.

Mrs. Daniels graduated from Splendora High School in 1989.  She began her career with Splendora ISD in 1999 as a district receptionist and shortly thereafter became secretary for the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum.  In 2004 she joined the accounting department and currently prepares and processes semi-monthly payroll for all district employees.  She is a member of the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) and has received her Certified Texas School Business Official (CTSBO) certification. Ms. Daniels is married and has two children, Jordan and Dalton, both of whom are attending Splendora schools.

Ms. Leitko came to Splendora ISD in August of 2007 as secretary to the Curriculum Directors. She is now a member of the Business/Finance Department. In September 2008 she was appointed to the position of PEIMS Coordinator and in June 2008 her duty of coordinating employee benefits began. These positions cover the all members of the SISD community – Students and Staff.

Now in her third year with SISD and having over 30 years educational experience from the Bryan and Conroe school districts, Ms. Leitko possesses a diverse knowledge of school business. Her experience includes over eight years in PEIMS, as well as a background in curriculum, staff development, communications (public relations), and human resources.

Having been an active community and parent supporter of the Montgomery County Fair Association, area sports leagues and scouting, she now enjoys supporting her grandchildren in their school and extracurricular activities.

Catherine Southworth Bookkeeper of Federal Accounts csouthworth@splendoraisd.org

Ms. Southworth joined Splendora ISD as an accountant in 2009.  She began her career as an educator and has worked at the primary, secondary, and college levels.  Her positions have been in both the private and public sectors where she has taught mathematics and accounting, prepared taxes, and worked as an internal auditor.  She has a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics, with a minor in education, a Master’s of Science in Accountancy, and a Master’s of Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from the University of Houston.  She has won awards and scholarships as a graduate student with her research in financial reporting and commitment to service in professional organizations where she has served in leadership positions.  As a federal accountant, she is responsible for performing general accounting work related to the preparation, administration, and control of the district federal financial resources.

Sabrina Butler Receptionist sbutler@splendoraisd.org

Mrs. Butler was born in Pasadena, Texas and because of her dad’s profession she has traveled all over the United States. She became a permanent resident of Splendora, Texas in 1975. She graduated from Splendora High School in 1978. Mrs. Butler’s husband and daughter are also graduates of Splendora High School.

 

In 1994, when Mrs. Butler’s daughter started elementary school in Splendora ISD, she began volunteering and was a PTA board member for the district for eight years. Mrs. Butler now has been employed with the district since 1998. In 2002, she became the District Receptionist. Mrs. Butler greets the public with a smile and directs all the phone calls to the appropriate departments. Prior to her position at Splendora ISD, Mrs. Butler was a sales clerk at Cleveland Jewelers for several years.
